Bureaucrats…deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed? Doesn’t seem like it.

FBI Director Robert Mueller’s “not knowing” essential information before the House Panel yesterday on Benghazi and NSA was a disgrace and epitomizes this government’s lack of accountability to and lack of respect for We The People it is hired to serve.

What would Thomas Jefferson, who immortalized that governments derive “their just powers from the consent of the governed” in our magnificent Declaration of Independence think?

From Mueller to Eric Holder to Chuck Hagel to Hillary Clinton to their aides and the president himself, no one seems to know anything nor even have enough respect for us to find the answers.

Congress, the courts, the Executive Branch including cabinet offices and agencies such as Mueller’s FBI, the NSA, the IRS and the rest need to learn from the private sector and treat We The People as a demanding client; an employer who can and will fire them.

Having worked in the private sector (vilified as greedy by so many of these arrogant civil servants whose salaries and benefits we pay), for 25 years I would be personally humiliated if I ever appeared so incompetent and unprepared as Mueller, Clinton, Holder, Chuck Hagel, Obama and the rest have before their clients and employer.

But my humiliation would not last very long. If I represented my business as poorly as these servants have, my clients would be insulted and I would be promptly and deservedly fired.

We The People need to reassert our constitutional role, exercise our God given rights and “throw these bums out.”

As Jefferson wrote, “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When government fears the people there is liberty.”

I vote for liberty.
